Marking International Yoga Day with a political twist, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde took a veiled jab at his rivals, referring to his 2022 rebellion as the "bada Yoga" (big yoga) that changed the course of Maharashtra's politics.
Indian Army personnel of the Krishna Ghati Brigade's Balnoi Battalion marked the 11th International Yoga Day by holding a Yoga session in Poonch, with enthusiastic participation from locals of nearby border villages.
"Yoga is universal in nature. Yoga connects the mind and the body. This is something which belongs to the entire humanity. It was confined to India, but our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, took it to the whole world. Now it is for the world, and the world is accepting it," Governor Bose told
In a post on X, CM Dhami congratulated the citizens and highlighted the importance of yoga in achieving physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the residents of the state on International Yoga Day!" Dhami wrote.
On the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2025, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma, along with a large number of people, performed a Yoga session in Jaisalmer on Saturday.
