India registered a convincing innings and 141-run win over the West Indies on Day 3 of the 1st Test at Dominica on Friday, riding on brilliant performances by debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 171 and old warhorse Ravichandran Ashwin, who claimed a match haul of 12 wickets.
Aswhin did so during the first Test of two-match series against West Indies in Dominica. The veteran spinner recorded one of his finest away performances, taking 5/60 in the first innings and 7/71 in the second innings to finish with a combined figure of 12/131.
Following his side's thumping win over West Indies in the first Test, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made a memorable debut with a match-winning century, said he enjoyed batting with senior teammates like skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.
India's skipper Rohit Sharma didn't hold back while praising the spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja after they outclassed West Indies on their home soil to go one-up in the two-match Test series on Friday at Windsor Park.
