Congress leader Supriya Shrinate on Wednesday exuded confidence in Mahagathbandhan's victory, stating that the people of the state will "teach a lesson" to the ruling NDA party for manipulating their voting rights.
Speaking to ANI, Awadhesh Prasad said, "This exit poll is wrong... I had addressed a public rally. People have made up their mind to remove the BJP government, and make Mahagathbandhan's candidate Tejashwi Yadav the new Chief Minister."
"When was the exit poll correct? You are talking about the exit poll; I'm talking about the exact poll. You are saying that the vote has increased, but where has it increased? I believe that the people of Bihar have cast their votes for Mahagathbandhan," Pappu Yadav said.
Voting for the second phase of Bihar polls concluded with a record voter turnout of 68.80 per cent (approximate), with the highest voting of 78.82 per cent in Katihar district, according to data from the Election Commission.
The Rouse Avenue court on Tuesday rejected pleas of Former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi against a day-to-day trial in the IRCTC Hotels corruption case. The court said their prayer is not maintainable, practicable or justified.
