Independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav, on Friday said Nitish Kumar's mental state is not good at present and claimed JD(U) is no longer in his control. He alleged that 90 percent of JD(U) leaders oppose SC/ST but align with the BJP.
CM Yadav highlighted that it was the result of PM Modi's concern for all the sections of the society that the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 passed in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Speaking to the media, the CM said, "I have come here to pay my condolences on the demise of Arvind Joshi, brother of RSS leader Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi...Arvind Joshi did a lot of social work...I pray to Lord Mahakal to grant salvation to Arvind Joshi. His demise is a loss to society..."
Sushil Yadav fondly remembered his son as a brilliant student who had always made the family proud. Siddharth joined the National Defence Academy (NDA) course 135 in January 2016 and was engaged to be married just a few days ago, on March 23.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP's Waqf Bill, claiming it is a diversion from their failure to address critical issues like inflation, unemployment, and the economic crisis. He called it a conspiracy to take control of Waqf lands.
"This double-engine government is moving forward under the good governance and guidance of the Central Government, NITI Aayog's direction, and by closely monitoring each and every department," the CM said.
"We consider the Waqf Bill to be unfair. All the land in the country has been given to big industrialists. Now, the intention is to give this land also to the same industrialists," Yadav told ANI.
Independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav on Thursday attacked the central government over the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 and said that the people will give a befitting reply.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday assured that non-Muslims will only be included in the Council and Waqf Board, which will solely look after the administration of property donated under the Waqf Law.
CM Yadav emphasised that under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Gadkari, the state is witnessing unprecedented development in road infrastructure.
