The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has written to all states and Union Territories (UTs) to make special provisions in prisons and correctional institutions to ensure the safety, care, and well-being of elderly inmates.
The Supreme Court administration has formally written a letter to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, asking for immediate action to vacate Bungalow No. 5, Krishna Menon Marg, currently occupied by former Chief Justice of India, Justice DY Chandrachud.
