Outgoing Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Monday said that today is the last day for filing nominations for the federation’s elections and no member of his family will contest the election.
Top Indian wrestlers like Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik have protested against Brij Bhushan this year, levelling allegations of sexual harassment against them.
Outgoing Wrestling Federation of India President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is on bail in connection with a sexual harassment case filed by women wrestlers, said that the recent incident in Manipur is condemnable as well as called it a sad incident in independent India.
