G20 delegates, who arrived in Tamil Nadu to attend the first meeting of the G20 Education Working Group, got a glimpse of the state's handicrafts in Mahabalipuram on Wednesday.
The Union Minister has underlined that Education is the key driver for development and is a critical enabler for the people's empowerment, which needs to keep pace with the changes driving the world in contemporary times.
Assam is all set to host the 1st Sustainable Financial Working Group meeting and Youth 20 Inception meeting as part of India's year-long G20 presidency.
The meeting will have over 150 participants including G20 member countries, nine special invitee guest countries - Bangladesh, Egypt, Mauritius, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore, UAE, and Spain.
The meeting will be inaugurated by Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar and food processing industries minister Pashupati Kumar Paras. The discussions during the two-day meeting will be jointly steered by the Ministry of Finance and the Reserve Bank of India along with France and
India will be holding the Presidency of G20 for one year, till November 30, 2023. The forum will bring together the G20 member countries, guest countries and international organisations invited by India.
"I am very very excited about the Indian G20 presidency. I am keen to see the Global South collaboration that we can put together in this new world order," Alakija said at the G20 Health Working Group meeting taking place from January 18-20 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
