This comes a day after relatives of three CRPF personnel killed in the 2019 Pulwama terror attack reached Congress leader Sachin Pilot's residence and demanded a meeting with the party high command, accusing the state government of not fulfilling promises made to them.
"This behaviour against women and especially widows of those who have sacrificed their lives for our country is punishable and unapologetic. The government will have to take strict action against the police and people involved in this," Pilot told reporters after meeting the women on Tues
The widows of the soldiers have been protesting against the alleged non-fulfilment of promises made to them by the state government and also alleged that police assaulted them while they went to meet CM Ashok Gehlot on Saturday.
As per Pilot's letter, the protestors urged him to push for a relaxation in the rules for giving government jobs to family members of those who lost their lives in the terror attack.
"While refraining from commenting on the merits of the case under investigation, let me submit that the arrest of Sisodia has lent further force to the argument about certain actions of the central investigation agencies," Pinarayi Vijayan said in the letter.
