India's indigenously designed and developed Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) 8x8, made in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), is set to take "Indian defence innovation" to the global stage.
Spanning 20,000 square metres, the facility will produce the indigenously developed Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) 8x8, jointly designed by TASL and India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will embark on a visit to Morocco on Sunday, where he will inaugurate the Tata Advanced Systems' new manufacturing facility for the Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP) 8x8 at Berrechid, the first-ever Indian defence manufacturing plant in Africa.
Defence Research and Development Organisation and Mahindra Defence have together developed the advanced version of the Wheeled Armoured Platform and showcased it at the Defence Expo being held in Pune from February 24 to 26.
