Foiling a fresh attempt of drug smuggling at the India-Bangladesh International Border, the Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested two Bangladeshi smugglers and seized 1,457 Phensedyl bottles.
The relief consignment worth USD 1 million was airlifted to the capital of West New Britain, Kimbe, from the Papua New Guinea capital, Port Moresby, for distribution within the West New Britain province.
"We have fought against the NRC. Rajbanshis are citizens of India. They have again started shouting CAA, CAA for the sake of votes," Mamata Banerjee said.
"BJP is resorting to its old tactics vis-a-vis CAA. Shantanu Thakur, a Minister of the Government of India elected from West Bengal has again said that CAA will be implemented in Bengal. He lacks confidence himself when he says this," Panja said.
"Today I am giving a guarantee that CAA will be implemented in Bengal and other states of India in the next seven days," Thakur said while addressing a public gathering in Kakdwip in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Khageswar Roy alleged that his car was attacked on Sunday late in the evening. Roy claimed that the car was attacked by BJP, CPI(M) and Congress-backed goons.
