West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained injuries on her forehead after her car abruptly halted to avoid a collision with another vehicle while returning from Burdwan to Kolkata on Wednesday.

After West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee remarked on the INDIA alliance breaking ties, RJD MP Manoj Jha claimed that the statement was given in some particular situation and said that INDIA parties will solve the conflict.
"Mamata Banerjee's decision to fight alone in West Bengal is a sign of desperation. Unable to hold her political ground, she wants to fight all seats, in the hope that she can still be relevant, after the polls," Malviya said in a post on 'X'.
Earlier on January 5, ED officials were attacked when they were on their way to carry out raids at the residence of Sheikh Shahjahan and fellow TMC leader Shankar Adhya at Sandeshkhali in the North 24 Parganas district.
According to Dilip Kumar, railway staff at New Jalpaiguri railway station, the window glass of coach number C-9 has been broken and damaged near seats 48 and 49.
Reacting to the "Kafir" remarks made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday questioned the TMC supremo on "whom she was referring to as Kafirs in her speech at a public meeting."
