West Bengal Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday called Mamata Banerjee's TMC party a party of goons that lacks support from the people.
West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari asked the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take cognizance of the threat given by the ruling Trinamool Congress MLA Hamidur Rehman to supporters of opposition parties in his constituency.
"West Bengal police is the finest weapon of Mamata Banerjee. A section of the IPS officers functions as the party functionaries of the TMC and hence it's very difficult to have a fair election here," Adhikari said speaking to ANI on Sunday.
"The last word of the Constitution of India is that everyone goes according to the laws approved by the Parliament of India. Derek O'Brien's party (TMC) has destroyed the four pillars of the Constitution in West Bengal," Adhikari said speaking to reporters on Tuesday.
"North Bengal is PM Modi's bastion. Here, people respect him, love him and consider him to be their own. North Bengal has been in PM Modi's favour since 2014. In 2019, his vote percentage increased and in 2021, his support base in North Bengal was intact," Adhikari said speaking to reporters
