West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Tuesday described budget 2024-25 as a pro-people and said it presents a golden opportunity for the Bengal government to utilise the funds allocated by the Centre effectively without diverting them for unauthorised purposes.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose said, "I am getting a series of complaints from the victims of violence. This is not the first time. Last occasion when the victims of post-poll violence came to meet me as governor, they were prevented by the police."
After the Calcutta High Court's judgement restrained West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from making derogatory statements against Governor CV Ananda Bose, he welcomed the judgement and appealed to refrain from politicising the issue.
