The Communist Party of India (CPI) welcomed the interim relief granted by the Supreme Court through its order staying certain 'controversial' provisions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday welcomed the Supreme Court's order on staying certain provisions of the Waqf Amendment Act and said that this decision is a major step towards "undoing the unconstitutional" amendments which have been incorporated in the Waqf Amendment Act.
