Parts of Mumbai's Khar locality experienced waterlogging on Tuesday following heavy rainfall, disrupting normal life and raising concerns over the city's monsoon preparedness.
Several regions including Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Odisha and Telangana may experience heavy rain at isolated places.
Waterlogging was reported in several parts of Mumbai after heavy rainfall on Sunday late night. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued orange to red alerts for the city and surrounding areas of Mumbai and suburban areas.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted "light to moderate rain at a few places with thunderstorm & lightning with gusty winds speed reaching 40-50 kilometres per hour (kmph) at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area."
