Dense fog and cold weather conditions continue to hamper train movements to and from the national capital, with two dozen long-distance trains running behind schedule by up to eight hours or more.

The temperature in various parts of the state were recorded below 10 degree celsius and Nowgong, a city in Chhatarpur district, was the coldest place in the state last night which recorded a minimum temperature of 3.1 degree celsius, a local meteorologist said.
The movement of commuters to and from the National Capital was affected on Saturday morning as several flights and trains were delayed due to low visibility amid severe cold conditions in Northern India.

The Meteorological office has predicted that the cold will continue to be prevalent in the state for the next three to four days due to jet streams active in the plain area of North India.
