The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by light thunderstorms and lightning on Monday in isolated areas of Delhi-NCR, Yamunanagar, and Kurukshetra.
Tripura issued an advisory for cyclone 'Remal' based on reports of IMD of severe weather forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall with winds and cyclonic storm by May 25 that will further intensify into severe cyclonic storm by May 26 accompanied with heavy rainfall till May 28.
The premier weather forecasting agency, IMD (India Meteorological Department), held out no immediate respite from the searing and scalding heatwave and has issued a red wave alert for Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh, stating that the heatwave will continue for a few days.
