The Delhi Police has registered an FIR against several individuals after a scuffle broke out over a road rage incident, which further escalated into cross-firing from both sides.
A severe fire broke out at the Delhi Police Training School located in Wazirabad of North Delhi in the early hours of Monday in which 450 vehicles kept in a yard were damaged.
In view of rising ammonia levels in the Yamuna River, Delhi Water Minister Atishi on Thursday wrote to Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, instructing him to file a status report on the setting up of an ammonia treatment plant in Wazirabad.
The Delhi Police on Friday recovered the body of a 1.5-year-old girl from the terrace of a house next to the victim’s house in Wazirabad area of the city.
Giving details about the incident, the DCP said, "The incident took place on the night of September 2, when the 33-year-old woman had hired the auto from Burari and was on her way to an ISBT Kashmere Gate.
The case is related to riot and arson at a car showroom on Main Wazirabad Road, Opposite Petrol Pump Bhajanpura, Delhi. The mob had also set the other vehicles on fire and window panes of the cars were broken.
The river water level had been hovering around the danger mark of 205.33 metres for the last few days after reaching an all-time high of 208.66 metres on July 13.

"Capacity of Wazirabad Water treatment plant is 134 MGD. It has started producing 54 MGD. The equipment got most damaged in this plant. Hopefully, it shud start working on full capacity soon. Engineers are working 24x7," tweeted Kejriwal on Monday.
Chandrawal WTP alongside two other water treatment plants namely Wazirabad and Okhla were closed on July 13 as the floodwater entered the pumping stations of these plants.
Traffic police of Delhi informed, "In view of the water level in Yamuna reaching the danger mark of 207.5 meters, movement of traffic on Outer Ring Road between Wazirabad Bridge and Vikas Marg and Mahatma Gandhi Road between Kalighat Mandir and Delhi Secretariat will be regulated."
