"Capacity of Wazirabad Water treatment plant is 134 MGD. It has started producing 54 MGD. The equipment got most damaged in this plant. Hopefully, it shud start working on full capacity soon. Engineers are working 24x7," tweeted Kejriwal on Monday.
Chandrawal WTP alongside two other water treatment plants namely Wazirabad and Okhla were closed on July 13 as the floodwater entered the pumping stations of these plants.

According to the release, Delhi LG, V.K. Saxena had written to Chief Minsiter Arvind Kejriwal, after his visit to the Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and its feeder Pondage area on March 9, flagging the pathetic and unhygienic conditions at the site.
"River Yamuna will be cleaned in Delhi by June 30. I have no objection if any minister wants to take credit for our work," LG VK Saxena said without naming anyone.
The Chandrawal treatment plant is also being upgraded under the plan. After the completion of the project, the capacity of this water treatment plant will be 105 MGD and this will enable around 22 lakh people in Delhi to get clean water at their homes.
In his letter, LG Saxena also flagged gross inaction on part of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) in cleaning and desilting the pond reservoir behind the Wazirabad barrage, which supplies water to Wazirabad and Chandrawal Water Treatment Plants.
