BJP MP Jagadambika Pal accused the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) of misleading minorities and Muslims over the Waqf Amendment Bill, ahead of its introduction. AIMPLB announced a nationwide agitation against the bill, claiming it harms Muslim interests.
Reacting to the All India Muslim Personal Law Board nationwide 'agitation' against the Waqf Amendment Bill, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader CR Kesavan on Wednesday said that the Waqf Amendment Bill will empower underprivileged sections of the Muslim community.
"All India Muslim Personal Law Board, AIMIM, Muslim League, all these leaders are now worried that poor Muslims may shift towards BJP, and hence they are giving a false narrative and provoking innocent and poor Muslims," Rao said while talking to ANI.
