Speaking after the All India Congress Committee (AICC) session in Gujarat, Congress MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla accused the government of ignoring pressing economic issues while pushing legislation like the Waqf Amendment Bill.
Congress MLA Irfan Hafeez on Wednesday termed the Waqf Amendment Act a state interference to the religious affairs of the Muslim community. He added that the demand for a discussion on the act in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was justified.
