Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Deepak Prakash on Wednesday said that the extra votes polled in favour of NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan in the recently concluded Vice Presidential election indicate that several opposition MPs support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and vision.

With NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan winning the Vice-Presidential polls by over 150 votes, BJP MPs took dig at Congress and opposition parties, claiming that 14 MPs from INDIA block indulged "in cross voting" and 14 other whose votes were cancelled are also from the opposition.
The VP-elect, who has a political career spanning over 50 years, defeated the opposition bloc's joint candidate, Justice B. Sudershan Reddy, by 152 votes.
Radhakrishnan received 452 first preference votes, whereas the INDIA bloc candidate Justice B. Sudershan Reddy received 300 first preference votes. Fifteen votes were invalid.
