Speaking to ANI, Ramakrishna said, "At present, democracy in the country is facing a grave threat. The Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre, in collusion with the Election Commission, is indulging in corrupt practices by arbitrarily removing genuine voters from the rolls."
The Yatra, launched in protest against the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar and alleged 'vote chori', will culminate in Patna on September 1 after covering more than 1,300 km across over 20 districts in 16 days.

Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC on Sunday labelled Congress' Voter Adhikar Yatra as "Rumour Yatra" and said that Rahul Gandhi must submit an affidavit to the Election Commission where he is repeatedly claiming of electoral irregularities.
