Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and NCP candidate from Baramati Assembly constituency, Ajit Pawar on Wednesday expressed confidence in winning the assembly polls, saying that he trusts the voters will send him to the Assembly for the eighth time.
As Maharashtra gears up for the assembly elections on Wednesday, November 20, voter turnout initiatives are in full swing. Among them, a Thane-based eatery is offering discounted food to encourage voting, reflecting the efforts of local communities to boost electoral participation.
Officials said the raid was conducted following complaints that BJP leaders were distributing money at a hotel in Virar to influence voters. Workers from both the BJP and Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA) were found present at the hotel during the raid.
