The United States Department of State on Tuesday said that Washington will soon announce measures against the Wagner group over its past activities in Africa.
US President Joe Biden on Sunday spoke with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discussed the recent events in Russia, the White House said.
Slamming Moscow hours after the Wagner group launched a rebellion against Russian military facilities, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that everyone who chooses the path of evil "destroys" himself.

Following the White House Meeting with the defence alliance's leader, United States President Joe Biden said that he would not make it easier for Ukraine to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), The Washington Post reported.
The main topic of their conversation was the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, in particular, the consolidation of international support for the Ukrainian peace plan and the possibility of India joining the implementation of its individual points.
Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar on Thursday said that G20 is only for members and India has not reviewed the list or talked to anyone regarding the same.
"I would respond (to Russia) similarly to what the BJP did. We (Congress) would be responding in a similar way (to the Russia-Ukraine conflict). Because India has that sort of relationship with Russia and that can't be denied. Our policy would be similar," said Rahul.
Earlier on May 21, PM Modi met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Hiroshima and assured him to resolve the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv. This was the first meeting between the two leaders since the Russia-Ukraine conflict that began on February 2
