Karnataka Government on Thursday assured the Supreme Court that no admissions or appointments will be taken place on the basis of a government order, scrapping four per cent (Other Backward Classes) OBC reservation for Muslims, till April 18.
Former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on Tuesday said that the BJP-ruled state of Karnataka's "intention" behind scrapping 4 per cent OBC reservation for Muslims was to spark communal strife between Vokkaligas and Lingayats and the Muslim community.
While addressing the media, DK Shivakumar said, "I am confident that Congress will come to power after the next 45 days. We will scrap all these reservations as there is no base in this there was no report," he said.
New Delhi [India], May 10 (ANI): The crucial May 12 Karnataka assembly election is being looked at as a game changer for the Congress across the country and as a gateway for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) into the south.
