Baloch human rights organisations have written to the United Nations urging for the protection of Baloch people's rights against Pakistani occupation, military operations and enforced disappearances.
The Baloch Voice Association, Voice for Baloch Missing Persons and Baloch Peoples' Congress submitted the letter in the United Nations office in Geneva.
A protest camp by 'Voice for Baloch Missing Persons' against forced disappearances, continued for the 5326th day in front of Quetta Press Club on Tuesday, Balochistan Post reported.
The aim was to draw the attention of UN bodies and member states to the severe human rights violations perpetrated in Balochistan by Pakistan, treating the region as a colony under its occupation.
The event to be organised by the Baloch Voice Association in coordination with the Baloch Peoples’ Congress, MiMAN Association and Voice for Baloch Missing Persons will be held during the 54th UN Human Rights Council Session.
Munir Mengal, the President of Baloch Voice Association, an NGO based in Paris, France raised his voice on the issue of enforced disappearance in Balochistan and organized an exhibition at Broken Chair in United Nations, Geneva, along with Baloch Peoples Congress and Voice for Baloch Missing
As per reports, the Pakistani army was behind the enforced disappearance. Due to the enforced disappearance of Rasheeda and her husband Muhammad Rahim their daughter is left without the parents.
