A Block Education Officer (BEO) has been arrested in Hindol in the Dhenkanal district on Tuesday by Odisha Vigilance while he was taking a bribe from a complainant.

Detailing the incident, the release stated that on Thursday that Susanta Kumar Swain and a private person Chiranjiv Bala were caught red-handed by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant in order to help him in a case registered in Khandagiri PS
Delhi LG, VK Saxena has reviewed the performance of the Vigilance Department, GNCTD with regard to the disposal/pendency of cases and stricter enforcement to curb corruption and prevalent malpractices in government offices, Raj Niwas said in a statement on Thursday.
