Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar on Wednesday arrived at the Haldwani airport and was welcomed by Governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh Ji (Retd.). State Minister Rekha Arya and MP Ajay Bhatt joined the Uttarakhand governor.
The Vice President said, "A painful incident happened in mid-March in Delhi at the residence of a sitting judge. There was a cash haul, obviously tainted, unaccounted, illegal. And unexplained!... It appeared in the public domain after 6-7 days...."
Vice President Dhankar also performed the bhoomi pujan of and inauguration of various development works worth around Rs 116 crore at the event. Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and various state cabinet ministers also graced the occasion.
