The Windsor Police Service has started an investigation into the vandalism at a local Hindu temple as a "hate-motivated incident" and two suspects are wanted for the incident.
Speaking to ANI, Sahibganj Deputy Commissioner Ramniwas Yadav said, "There is a Hanuman temple near Patel Chowk, and anti-social elements indulged in mischief there. We have recovered CCTV footage and we are verifying it."
"A clash broke out between two groups in Atarwal village of Jalgaon district after a statue was vandalised by unidentified people," Jalgaon SP M Rajkumar said on Saturday.
Members of the Indian diaspora gathered outside the Indian consulate in San Francisco on Saturday to show solidarity after the consulate was vandalised by extremist and separatist elements last week.
After the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom (UK) got vandalised by separatist and extremist elements on March 19, the High Commissioner of India to the UK Vikram Doraiswami held a meeting with the members of the Indian community who had concerns regarding the incident.

Temple President Satinder Shukla told The Australia Today, "Temple Priest and devotees called this morning and notified me about the vandalism on the boundary wall of our temple."
"ABVP members kept Shivaji's portrait at the JNUSU office, for which permission was needed from JNUSU delegation. Despite that, they did it illegally. Other students came there and removed all portraits for screening programme due to which fight broke out between two groups," NSUI said.
The public transportation of Kathmandu Valley was thrown out of gear since afternoon as the transport entrepreneurs had launched protests around the New Buspark area. Transport workers had blocked the section of ring road circling the capital Kathmandu.
