India, at the Third South Summit in Kampala, Uganda, underscored the pivotal role of the Global South as the world's "future growth engine," and emphasised the need for South-South Cooperation to address contemporary challenges and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Minister of State (MoS) for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Monday met Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe in Kampala, Uganda, on the sidelines of the Third South Summit.
Earlier yesterday, Minister actively participated in diplomatic discussions on the sidelines of the third South Summit in Kampala, Uganda. In a series of social media posts, Muraleedharan shared insights into his meetings with key representatives from Somalia, Oman, and Botswana.
During his visit, the minister will also deliver India's national statement and hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts, especially from the G-77 member states. MoS will also interact with the Indian community in Uganda.
Minister of State V Muraleedharan claimed on Thursday that the Kerala Chief Minister's daughter's company was not able to produce any evidence for Exalogic Solutions providing service to Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL).
"UAE and India have a very historical connection. We are connected in economy, politics, strategic relations as well as people-to-people. We have CEPA which was signed 1.5 years ago and it is creating a lot of productive outcomes. It is considered a model for any country to engage with India
Speaking to the media, V Muraleedharan emphasized, "The economic development that is taking place is under the leadership of PM Modi, and Gujarat is playing an important role in it, and we have come to participate in it."
During the meetings, experiences on Haj management and administration were shared and there was an exchange of ideas on best practices with the respective counterparts.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs, V Muraleedharan met with Indian Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan and other officials of the Indian Consulate in Jeddah on Monday.
