In Uttarkashi, due to heavy rains in Gyansu located at Uttarkashi district headquarters, four residential houses have developed huge cracks after a security wall broke out.
"Four persons were injured due to lightning in village Kandiyal village under Tehsil Purola of Uttarkashi. One of these persons died," District Disaster Management Officer Devendra Patwal said.

After 23 days of communal unrest Section 144 has been removed in Purola town of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand. Community-specific shops have started opening under police protection after the situation improved on Saturday.
Uttarkashi District Magistrate Abhishek Ruhela on Friday said that security forces are deployed in Purola and Section 144 will continue to be imposed in the wake of communal tension in Uttarakhand.
