Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday conducted a field inspection of the disaster-affected areas in Syanachatti of the Uttarkashi and met the disaster-affected people, and after listening to their problems, assured them that all possible help would be provided.
The Uttarkashi administration is managing the temporary lake formed at Syanachatti by attempting to drain the water, which had been blocked by debris from the Garhgad drain on the Yamunotri Dham road.

During the meeting, CM Dhami apprised the Union Minister about the extensive damage to infrastructure, particularly in the Dharali area of Uttarkashi district, following heavy rainfall and a cloudburst earlier this month.
Uttarkashi district administration has said that the work to restore the damaged Gangotri National Highway in Songad is going at a war footing.
Authorities are actively working to restore normalcy and make these crucial highways operational.
The Gangotri National Highway is currently blocked near Dharasu Purana Thana and Sonagad. In addition, the Yamunatri Highway is impassable near Kuthnaur and Naradchatti, according to the Uttarkashi Police.
