Rajasthan Minister Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary on Tuesday announced that the state government is planning to introduce the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill in the current or next session of the assembly, following in the footsteps of Uttarakhand.
A report of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) was presented at a Cabinet meeting which was held at the residence of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The Uniform Civil Code Bill will be brought for the approval of the Uttarakhand Cabinet after the completion of legislative work on the UCC report, said sources in the government.
