Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday visited the Disaster Control Room at IT Park, Dehradun, for the second consecutive day to review the ongoing rescue operation for Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers trapped in Mana, Chamoli.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Uttarakhand Tribal Festival organised by the State Tribal Research Institute at Parade Ground, Dehradun on Saturday.
BRO workers trapped in the Mana avalanche are being airlifted to Joshimath. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the disaster control room in Dehradun after inspecting ongoing rescue operations in Chamoli.
In a post on social media, Dhami wrote, "Visited the avalanche-affected area near Mana in Chamoli district and took stock of the ongoing relief and rescue operations on the spot. During this period, inquire about the well-being of the workers who were evacuated safely."

The Indian Army carried out overnight rescue operations to save people still trapped under the snow after an avalanche struck near Mana Village in the Chamoli district, officials said on Saturday.
Chamoli District Magistrate said, "Thirty three people were rescued initially, out of which three were critically injured. They were treated at Mana's Army Hospital, and today, they have been brought to the Military Hospital in Joshimath."
So far, 47 out of 55 Border Roads Organisation (BRO) workers have been safely rescued from the Uttarakhand avalanche site in the Mana village in Chamoli district, and an additional 14 civilians have been rescued by the Indian Army.
