Congress MP Pramod Tiwari criticised the Uttar Pradesh government after the police allegedly stopped a delegation of the Samajwadi Party from visiting the violence-hit Sambhal on Saturday.
The security deployment in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district continued for the sixth consecutive day on Saturday amid tensions over the Shahi Jama Masjid Survey.
"Police have mentioned my name in the report to hide the truth, to hide their negligence and so that I cannot help my people. I will keep raising my voice for my people to get them their rights and justice." SP MP Barq told ANI.

"A survey was being carried out there (Sambhal) on the orders of the court. Whatever incident happened is very sad. A fair investigation will be conducted into the incident," Deputy CM Pathak told ANI.
