Israel's Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant and former Minister of defence and now minister without portfolio in the special War Cabinet Benny Gantz both met Thursday evening with the visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday conveyed his condolences to US President Joe Biden over the demise of Henry Kissinger, a former US Secretary of State and a key player in thawing tensions between China and the US in 1972, the Global Times reported.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has held talks with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the possibility of concluding a peace treaty between the two states.
Blinken will discuss Israel's right to defend itself in accordance with international humanitarian law, continued efforts to secure the release of remaining hostages and protecting civilian life during Israel's counter-offensive against Hamas in Gaza.

The United States on Monday announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth USD 100 million. It comes at a time when the US Secretary of Defence is on a visit to Kyiv, according to The Hill.
"KSS terrorist activity has threatened the lives of both US and Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS personnel in Iraq and Syria," US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.
Blinken said that he, along with his Indian counterparts, discussed the crisis in the Middle East and that the US "appreciated the fact that, from day one, India strongly condemned the attacks of October 7th".
