Lauding the ties between the two nations, the United States Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Richard Verma, has said that he has really never seen the India-US relationship as strong, robust, and diverse as it is today.
Richard Verma expressed his admiration for the robust and inspiring joint defence exercises conducted by the two nations, noting their sophistication at every level.
The United States Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, hailed the ties between New Delhi and Washington and stressed that the two nations should work more robustly on co-development and serve as a 'model' for the world.
Verma recalled the last 24 years, including the start of US President Bill Clinton's visit to India in 2000, saying, "If I measure our progress from the year 2000, we have excelled in every single body...We are more closely aligned than we have never been before."
US Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs, Rena Bitter, will be travelling to India during which she will engage with embassy and consulate colleagues in Chennai, Mumbai and New Delhi.
