US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor visited the US Consulate in Mumbai on his first trip to the city. He recently presented credentials to President Droupadi Murmu and took oath in New Delhi, stressing stronger US-India ties in security, trade, energy, technology and critical minerals.
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor presented his credentials to President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan, formally becoming the 27th US envoy. He said he would advance shared priorities in defence, trade, technology and critical minerals. Gor earlier took oath at the US Embassy.

US Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg highlighted India's likely inclusion in Pax Silica, calling it a key step towards building "reliable and secure supply chains" and describing it as a milestone for the US-India partnership.
