Upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit to the US, Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday said that these past few days have underscored how the spirit of possibility defines now the US-India relationship, adding that the two nations can define the course of the 21st century.
"US-India relationship is very important. We are looking forward to hearing PM Modi address the joint session. PM Modi has served the people well," said Carter on PM Modi's visit to US.
Matthew Miller said, "With respect to visas, our consular teams have been making a huge push to process as many visa applications as possible in India, including in those visa categories that are key to the bilateral relationship. This is a top priority for our government."

America's Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, who assumed office last Tuesday was excited to work together as a team to further the US-India relationship.
Raimondo said she was extremely optimistic. "We've been optimistic for US-India relations," she added. "Our partnership with India is one of our most consequential relationships and I think one of our most promising bilateral relationships, as we look forward."
Ahead of her visit to India, Raimondo said, "This is an optimistic time for U.S.-India relations, and I am excited to visit India during such a special time of year, the celebration of Holi," according to the statement released by the US Department of Commerce.
"The United States is expanding cooperation with India to address global challenges. I had a good meeting with Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval today to discuss deepening our strategic partnership.," Blinken said in a tweet.

The United States and India concluded their US-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) meeting and decided to launch a new "Innovation Bridge", which will connect both countries' defence startups, according to the statement released by the White House.
In the statement, the White House said, "Eric M Garcetti, of California, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of India."
