After the encounter of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed's son Asad and his aide Ghulam by Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does encounters in the name of religion.
Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed said in a statement to Uttar Pradesh Police that he has direct connections with "Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba".

The Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday termed the encounter of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed's son Asad and another accused Ghulam, wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case, as a "huge success".
According to the police, the accused was arrested from a flat in Charmes Castle Society of Ghaziabad on Thursday night. Later, he was taken to the Ghaziabad Nandgram for medical examination.
