India on Sunday refrained from associating itself with any communique emerging from the Swiss summit on peace in Ukraine and reiterated its consistent approach to facilitate a lasting and peaceful resolution to the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
The leaders of Group of Seven (G7) in a hardening of tone against Beijing, warned China to stop sending weapons components to Russia and to play by the rules on trade, according to a draft G7 Summit statement.
To put pressure on Russia to end its war with Ukraine, World leaders have gathered in Switzerland to attend Ukraine's peace summit on Saturday. However, Russia and China abstained from the summit, reported The Kyiv Independent.

The leaders engaged in productive discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and addressing the situation in Ukraine, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in an official release.
After signing the bilateral security pact with the US, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the "agreement is a bridge" to Kyiv's attempt to join NATO, CNN reported.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday emphasised that the G7 Summit which began today, will be dedicated to Ukraine, their defence, and economic resilience, stressing that Ukraine is looking forward to important decisions.
However, the pledge is expected to be an "executive agreement," CNN reported citing sources, making it less formal than a treaty and not necessarily binding for any future presidents. So, there is the possibility of the deal being undone by future US administrations.
