Ukraine hit a major oil terminal in the Russian port city of Novorossiysk overnight, sparking a fire and damaging key infrastructure, even as deadly Russian strikes rained down on Kyiv
According to The New York Post, one of the tankers that caught fire had the ability to carry up to 700,000 barrels of oil. The fires were later put out, but it remains unclear if loading operations have resumed.
The bridge, which links Russia to the annexed Crimean peninsula, was illegally built by Moscow following its 2014 occupation and is vital for transporting military supplies to Russian forces in southern Ukraine.
The targeted refineries include facilities in Ryazan, approximately 130 miles southeast of Moscow, Kstovo in the Nizhny Novgorod region, nearly 300 miles east of the capital, and Kirishi in Russia's northwest.
Dozens of Russian navy members were killed on Friday, including "senior leadership" as Ukraine launched a missile barrage at Russia's Black Sea Fleet headquarters in the Crimean city of Sevastopol, reported CNN.
Kyiv [Ukraine], March 14 (ANI): Russia claimed it killed 180 "foreign mercenaries" in a missile strike on Yavoriv military training ground in western Ukraine, according to a media report. Kyiv, however, denied the report terming it "pure Russian propaganda".
