The Supreme Court on Wednesday asked the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) faction to focus on the upcoming Maharashtra local body elections, after the party sought an urgent hearing of its plea related to the 'bow and arrow' election symbol.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Tuesday welcomed the Supreme Court's direction to the Maharashtra Election Commission to notify local body elections in the State within four weeks and said that the order must be followed immediately.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday while speaking to reporters. Raut said that PM Modi came to Mumbai and spent nine hours with film stars without any trace of worry.
Shiv Sena-UBT leader Anand Dubey welcomed the Union Cabinet's approval to include caste enumeration in the upcoming census but questioned the timing of the decision, suggesting it may be linked to the upcoming Bihar elections.
"Security of J-K was already in hands of Army, but attack happened. Action should first be taken on the Home Department, the government is repeatedly making mistakes...the Prime Minister should take Amit Shah's resignation," Raut said during a press conference in Mumbai.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey on Saturday spoke on the Pahalgam terror attack and stated that the incident was "unfortunate". He said that their leader, Uddhav Thackeray, has asked them to visit Kashmir and tell about the ground reality.
Terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen while leaving several others injured, in one of the deadliest attacks in the valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
