Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Thursday reiterated the demand for a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah in the House on the issue of a security breach in which two men jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitor's gallery.
In a major security breach during the Zero Hour in Parliament on Wednesday, two men, both carrying canisters that emitted yellow smoke, jumped from the visitors' gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber before they were overpowered by the MPs.
Alleging that the two men with gas canisters who caused a security breach inside Lok Sabha were issued Parliament passes by BJP MP Pratap Simha, Trinamool Congress on Wednesday said that the lawmaker of the ruling party must be expelled as he compromised national security.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday said that two men who jumped into House from the visitors gallery have been nabbed and necessary instructions have been given to Delhi Police in the matter.
In a security breach in Lok Sabha, two men jumped into the House from the visitor's gallery and had canisters in their hand, Congress MP Karti Chidambaram said.
"Due to critical conditions, 9 passengers were referred to Jaipur. 4 passengers died, two women and two men were among the dead. The bodies of the deceased are kept in the mortuary of Dosa District Hospital." added the police.
