The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail petitions filed by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) General Secretary Anand and C.T.R. Nirmalkumar, Joint Secretary, in connection with the Karur stampede case.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against senior TVK leader Aadhav Arjun for making a post on X, which allegedly called for revolution in his now-deleted post. This post was made in light of the Karur stampede, which witnessed the death of 41 people.
"First of all, the frontline leaders of TVK have to realise that it is their own fault. It happened due to a lack of leadership. They are trying to accuse and make allegations against the DMK government," Thirumavalavan told ANI.
The screenshot of Arjun's post on X has been circulating on social media despite the post being deleted following backlash. His post comes in the backdrop of the unfortunate September 27 Karur stampede incident that claimed the lives of 41 people.
