The death toll from the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria earlier this week is now at least 16,035, CNN reported citing the authorities.
The quake was reported around 8:31 am at a depth of 10 km, 15 km south of Nurdagi at the location, 37.032°N 36.721°E, reported by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
Congress party President Mallikarjun Kharge also said that he was "deeply saddened" by the huge loss of life and property in the massive earthquake that rattled Turkey and nearby areas.
