US President Donald Trump is seeking a lasting solution to the Israel-Iran conflict, pushing for a definitive end to hostilities rather than a temporary ceasefire.

Earlier, according to a CNN report, French President Emmanuel Macron told reporters at the G7 summit that Trump has made an offer for a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
Trump's early departure comes as the conflict between Iran and Israel expands by the day. Israel is ramping up its attacks as part of a push to destroy Iran's nuclear program.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on social media about the president's plan to cut short his attendance at the summit in Kananaskis, Canada.
Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, US President Donald Trump on Monday (local time) urged civilians to "immediately evacuate Tehran," shortly after which the White House announced he would be departing the G7 summit early to "attend to many important matters."
