Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday said that the state of Tripura received Rs 339.35 crore under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin) and expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Rural Development Shandilya Giriraj Singh for releasing the fund.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, the 14th instalment amounting to approximately Rs 17,000 crores was directly transferred to more than 8.5 crore beneficiaries, offering much-needed financial support to farmers.

The blood donation camp was organised in response to the appeal of Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha. CM Saha had appealed to Tripura citizens to come forward to donate blood to maintain stock in the 14 available blood donation camps of the state.
"The team apprehended two individuals alongwith 103 kg Marijuana worth approximately Rs 41 lakh and seized one light motor vehicle," the release stated.
Saha while addressing Karyakars in an Organizational Meeting at Julaibari called upon West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC leaders to visit Tripura to understand what democracy is and how peaceful election can be conducted.
Police have seized 1,640 kg of ganja worth over Rs 1 crore from a truck in Assam's Karimganj district along the Assam-Tripura border, and apprehended two persons.
