Ahead of the Tripura Assembly election, the Left Front on Wednesday night announced the names of candidates for 47 of the 60 Assembly seats in the upcoming election in Tripura, said Left Front convenor Narayan Kar at a press meet.
Stepping up the election campaign in poll-bound Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha who is looking to get another term in the office, held a door-to-door campaign in Agartala ahead of the Assembly polls.
Police and Central Armed Police Forces on Saturday conducted a flag march in Agartala ahead of State Assembly elections slated to be held on February 16.
The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Paramita Pandey said that the flag march has been conducted to instil confidence among the public.

A team from the Election Commission of India (ECI), led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar reached the poll-bound state of Tripura on Wednesday to review elections preparedness.
Ahead of the ensuing Tripura Assembly elections, the state Election Department on Saturday launched two projects; namely Mission Zero Poll Violence and Mission 929.
The BJP will talk about the good governance provided by the state government and will also spread awareness about its efforts towards a drug-free state, said Tripura chief minister Manik Saha on Sunday regarding the Assembly elections 2023.
